Review: Absinthe

Absinthe Absinthe by Winter Renshaw
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 heartbreaking stars!

“I don’t have a story. I’m just the girl that nobody ever wanted.”

I hate it when a book makes me cry because reading books, especially contemporary romance is supposed to make you live happily ever afters you don't get to live. Turns out even works of fiction have the ability to break your heart.

I don't think I will ever be able to forget Halston aka Absinthe. She was may be the most broken soul I've ever met in a book and yet she was strong, determined and beautiful inside and out.

“You shouldn’t idealize anyone. That’s how people get hurt. Hearts get broken.”...
“You’re giving yourself too much credit, Kerouac,”I say, trying to cover the quick bruising of my ego...“You’re just a voice on the other end of a phone. A faceless man with a dirty mind and a love of books. I might be in love with the idea of you, but trust me, you could never break me.”
Many have tried.
None have succeeded.”

When Ford Hawthorne logged in the anonymous dating app Karma under the name Kerouac, he never thought he would meet a woman quoting F. S. Fitzgerald. Sure that they would never meet in real life, Kerouac shared all his fantasies with Absinthe including the way he would devour her.

“I’ll fuck you like the dirty girl you are, demanding your silence and commanding your body in ways no other man has done before.”

But they would never meet in real life. Right?

“Absinthe: ...If we ever fuck in real life, I’m not going to lie in your arms and cry because the experience moved my world. I’d probably climb off you, wipe your sticky semen out of my pristine vagina, and make myself a sandwich in your kitchen wearing your shirt.
Kerouac: We’re never going to fuck in real life, so …”

Life never goes as we wish and love no matter how beautiful, it breaks our hearts, destroys our souls and sometimes even our lives.

“I may have loved that woman once, but that was a lifetime ago—before she destroyed me.”

This book is a real must read. Can't have enough words to fully describe how much I loved it.

“All I ever wanted was to be yours,”she says. “I’ve waited and waited—just like you asked me to. And I think …one night with you would be better than never being with you at all.”

Review: Taken by the Russian

Taken by the Russian Taken by the Russian by Alexa Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4da da dastars!

I read this...“Your pussy loves Uncle Sasha’s attention, da?”
“Da,” she whispers, making me smile. “All the da.”
on Alexa Riley's twitter page and nearly had a heart attack.

What the ever living hell!

description

I hurried to Amazon, one-clicked and started devouring the book and the truth is, with all the ridiculousness of this story, I loved Sasha and Anya.

“Nothing about us, little angel, is a game. I will not miss you, because I never intend to leave you.”

Review: Drunk Dial

Drunk Dial Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 slow and steamy stars!

“What would you do to me if I were there?”
“A lot of things. But for some reason, smelling your scent makes me really want to eat your pussy. I’m craving that right now so badly, like my mouth is watering for it.” He lowered his voice. “Would you let me?” Barely able to speak, I stuttered, “Yeah…I mean…yeah…I would be okay with that.”
“I’m totally fucking obsessed with you, Rana.”

Another absolute winning book from the wonderful Penelope Ward.

If you think that Drunk Dial is a book where two friends reconnect and fall in love then you will be mistaken. Drunk Dial is where pain, hurt, sacrifice and unite to heal damaged souls.

The reasons why this is not a 5 star to me is because Rana at times made me question her sanity and her love but London.. Oh London! He's everything you could wish in a man and more.

Review: Twisted Twosome

Twisted Twosome Twisted Twosome by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 kindred stars!

description

“Fucking stubborn woman.”
“Why am I stubborn?”...
“Because you can’t admit when you’re attracted to me, that you want me.”
“It’s because you already have a huge ego, no need to inflate it.” He pushes his briefs to the side and slips on a condom right before he spreads my legs open.
“Sometimes having a big ego is all show, Princess.”

Twisted Twosome was an absolute fun to read!! It was funny.. like laugh out loud funny, lighthearted and sexy as hell.
Meghan Quinn nailed this story with a hot carpenter a sassy heroine and a plot that would twist your heart.

Racer was drowning in a pile of debt. Challenging his body and working days and nights to pay the bills was the only option he's got to save the house be built with his father scratch and cherish tneir memories.

After graduation and with a business degree in hand, Goergiana Westbrook decided to rebel against her family's rules and started her project instead of looking for a wealthy husband and follow him like a puppy.

But when the construction companies refused to work for her, the only option she had was the brooding carpenter who fixed her parents pool house.

Working side by side, Racer realised that Georgiana wasn't the wealthy brat he thought she was. And before he could prevent it, she crawled under his skin and made him crave the impossible.

“I want to kiss her. Just a little taste. Just a little indulgence, something to get me through these next couple days. That’s all.”

This was a great novel that made me hungry for more of Meghan Quinn'beauties.

Tucker! You're next.

Ps: teaser from the author's twitter page.

Review: Everything, Everything

Everything, Everything Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 I'm falling madly in love with this book stars!

***Spoiler alert #1***

“The greatest risk is not taking one.”

descriptionMADELINE’S DICTIONARY
ob•ses•sion (əbˈseSHən) n. pl. -s. 1. acute (and completely justifiable) interest in something (or someone) acutely interesting. [2015, Whittier]”

“You’re different than I thought you’d be,” I blurt out.
He grins and a dimple forms just under his right eye.
“I know. Sexier, right? It’s OK, you can say it.”
I guffaw. “How do you manage to carry around an ego that size and weight?”
“It’s the muscles,” he shoots back, flexing his biceps and raising a single comical eyebrow.”

***Spoiler alert #2***

“The Ocean scares Olly.”

description

“You hate the ocean?”
He’s grinning now, warming to his topic. “I don’t hate it. I respect it.” He holds up a single finger. “Respect. It’s Mother Nature at her finest—awesome, beautiful, impersonal, murderous. Think about it: All that water and you could still die of thirst. And the whole point of waves is to suck your feet from under you so that you drown faster. The ocean will swallow you whole and burp you out and not notice you were even there.”

***Spoiler alert #3***

“Life is a gift. Do not waste it!”

Review: Cocky Client

Cocky Client Cocky Client by Whitney G.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 cocky stars!!

The moment this book arrived to my kindle...

description

The moment the story ended...

description

Well, I loved this novella!

Scratch that!

I adored this novella. I wish it was a full-length novel with something like one thousand pages so that I get my fill of this amazing author.

Cocky Client is a funny, sexy, and ridiculously hilarious read with a charming and cocky alpha hero, a strong, sassy and determined heroine and a story that rocks.

description

descriptionIs your ideal type a guy who’ll take you home and fuck you until you can’t take every inch of his cock anymore?” he whispered into my ear. “The type who will devour your pussy until you come against his mouth?” I felt my cheeks heating. “You did not just ask me that...”“I did,” he said. “You started our meeting by skipping the ‘Hello’ so I think we can skip right past the bullshit question and answer phase.” His eyes were still on mine. “Tell me what you want.”
Everything you just said...”

I bought all Whitney G. books and pre-ordered the coming releases, and though that cost me a fortune the books are worth every penny.
