Review: Love Machine

Love Machine Love Machine by Kendall Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

⭐⭐⭐,5 stars!

“Love is friendship, but it is friendship with fire in its belly.”

With an amount of 18 books that I've read to Ms. Kendall Rayn so far, I won't say that this was the best, but I can't also say that I didn't totally enjoy it. Love Machine was a lighthearted and steamy friends to lovers story in which two friends explored each other in a different way that made both of them open up to raw feelings they never thought they had.

“The embers of attraction were always there, I’ve come to realize. All it took was one little kiss to blow on the ashes and make them roar to life.”

Review: Dominic

Dominic Dominic by Natasha Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Dominic stars!

description“Beauty knelt at my feet. And I would be the beast who would break her. The monster who would destroy her”

description

Dominic is the second installment in the Bendetti Brothers series and saying that Salvatore's story was challenging is underestimating the ruthlessness of this book. Dominic is a total heart wreck.

descriptionLove wasn’t always beautiful. It wasn’t always kind or sweet. Love could be a twisted, ugly bitch.”

I hated Dominic for how messed up he was, but along the way, I couldn't not love him as I learned that even monsters do have hearts.

description

description“You want me, Gia. As fucked up as it is, you want me.”
“I don’t.”It didn’t even sound convincing to me. He grinned. “It’s okay, though.”He leaned his face toward mine, licking away a tear I hadn’t realized had fallen. “I want you too. I want you to fight me. I want to make you. I want to hold you down and fuck you until you scream my name. I want to come all over you, so you know who you belong to. So you know who owns you.”

If you're hot for a ruthless f*cked up mafioso with a heart of gold then Dominic is your man.

Review: Disgrace

Disgrace Disgrace by Brittainy C. Cherry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 'always and always' stars!

“If you ever fall in love again, please let it be with me.”

Good God! This book made me feel things I didn't want to feel.

description

I HAVE A RULE.
Whenever cheating is involved, I just give up on the book and move on to the next. I had my share of that in my life and there are memories you no longer want to revisit not even in a work of fiction, but there was something about this book that got to me from the moment Grace started to think about the suitcases. I needed to know her story and feel her pain.

“Any woman who’d ever lost a child knew of the hollowness that remained within the soul.”

With three miscarriages in six years of marriage, I know how it is to be in agony, how hard it is to watch kids play in the parks calling their mommies and smiling at them, how lonely you can feel even when surrounded by many people, especially when the love of your life is not there for you which I'm grateful isn't my case.

“You build your whole life around another person, and you think you’ll never be alone again, but then you are. It’s the hardest feeling to deal with. Loneliness hurts. It burns in a way that feels worse than fire.”

I loved Grace and Jackson. They were two opposites brought together by loneliness and grief.

“Out of everyone in town, I knew my heart most closely resembled the monster who I’d been told was nothing but darkness. That was what I craved. I wanted to sit in the dark and be okay with my feelings. I wanted to bathe in the darkness and let go of the light. I wanted to be free to feel whatever I wanted to feel without the fear of others’ judgments being placed upon me. I wanted to be free. If only for one night…”

I'm certain everybody agrees that what Finn made Grace go through was awful, and I believe that the things Grace did were wrong because you never start a new chapter before closing the previous one. But I also believe that some things are just meant to happen and some broken souls need broken souls to heal.

“Princess?”
“Yes, Oscar?”
“You make it really hard.”
“For what?”
“For me to hate the whole world.””

Review: Kiss an Angel

Kiss an Angel Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ heart swelling stars!

“I don't love you anymore,” she whispered. “I don't love you at all.” His throat closed. “It's all right, sweetheart. I love you enough for both of us.”

Holy hearts on fire!!

What did I just read!

This is my first book by author Susan Elizabeth Phillips but I can assure you fellas that this lady knows what she's doing.

Forget about chemistry, nine-inch cocks and the deja vù kind of things, this author took romance to another level where the reader's heart will swell with emotions, and where every touch and kiss was like a journey to heaven.

“I can't resist you,” he said quietly. “You know that, don't you? And I'm tired of pretending I can.” His expression grew more troubled. "But I don't love you, Daisy, and you can't begin to know how sorry I am about that because if I could chose anyone in this world to love, it'd be you."

I don't know where to begin or what to say but Kissing An Angel was fabulous in all the ways.

I loved the characters, the animals and the way Daisy was attached to them. I loved the circus, even the rusty trailer where they lived found a way to my heart. Everything about this book was like a magical show but Sinjun, the stubborn Siberian beast was the star of it.

description

“Calm seeped through her body, taking the place of the fear. She experienced a blissful sense of homecoming, a peace she had never known, as the tiger became her and she became the tiger...
It seemed natural for her arms to encircle the tiger's neck. Even more natural to press her cheek to him and close her eyes. Time ticked by. She heard the throb of his heart and, overlaying that, a deep, gravelly purring.
I love you.
I love you."

Review: Most Eligible Billionaire

Most Eligible Billionaire Most Eligible Billionaire by Annika Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4,5 Smirkitect stars!

That's how it began...

“Suddenly I go from running my Etsy store to sitting in an elegant Wall Street boardroom with Smuckers in my lap. And my neighbor’s son, Henry Locke, aka New York’s most eligible bachelor, glaring across the table at me.”

description

Then things started to go viral..

“You know what Smuckers hates even more than being fooled?”she says. My heart pounds. She almost lost everything to me, and now she’s going to tell me a dog story? “He hates being threatened,”she says. “And bullied. He really, really hates it.”“Well he’s going to have to get used to it,”I hear myself saying. “He’s used to bubbles and bows and sunny parks but he’s in the jungle now. There are animals here who are faster and stronger and smarter than he is. Animals who will dominate him easily. Savagely, even.”“Then you don’t know Smuckers very well.”“Oh, I know all about Smuckers, and I’d suggest he practice rolling over. Baring his belly for the superior predator.”I lower my voice. “Begging sweetly for mercy.”

Were they talking about the dog?!

Most Eligible Billionaire is a funny and sweet enemies to lovers story with a hot as hell arrogant billionaire and a sassy heroine who wasn't at all intimidated by his mood. It's funny, light-hearted with a sizzling chemistry to light a fire.

“Sometimes you just breathe and I want you.”

Review: The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl

The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl The Billionaire’s Wake-up-call Girl by Annika Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 swoon worthy stars!

“Sex with me is a dirty, savage affair. Utterly uncivilized. It’s the opposite of civilized.”

Le sigh....

This book took me back to the things that made me fall in love with reading in the first place.

“she’s just a wake-up-call girl. And the only thing I want.”

I loved the story, the characters, the wit, the banter and the sizzling chemistry that was insanely hot.

“Yes,” I whisper softly. “I am not a man with a lot of mercy in him—that’s something you’re figuring out right about now.”

I so wanted to be the one to wake Theo up and hear his so husky so sexy voice every morning.

I loved this book so much that I read it in one sitting and turned the last page at 4 a.m and yes Theo was worth the sleepless night.
