Review: Brutal Prince

Brutal Prince Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

3 Aida & Callum stars!

“Do you want me, Cal?” “I don’t want you,” he moans, his voice husky and raw. “I need you.”

I admit that I'm a tiny little bit disappointed because I had high expectations about this book. The beginning of the story was so good that I was devouring the pages but then the marriage happened and the relationship between Aida and Cal shifted from total hate to stupid lust which made it look really fake.

“You’re mine, Aida,” Callum growls in my ear. “I’ll kill anyone who tries to touch you.”

I'm not into insta love/lust books because they don't feel real to me and may be that's what ruined the whole experience. Brutal Prince was an Ok read but I will definitely read more from this author because the side characters were very interesting.

Review: I've Got You

I've Got You I've Got You by Sawyer Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

⭐️4 Liv & Thatcher stars⭐️

ARC kindly provided by the author in exchange of an honest review

“I'm so broken." "No, baby, you're not broken.”

When I read the blurb, I was obsessed. A forbidden love, an unwanted pregnancy, two words that destroyed everything and a lifetime of groveling.

“You have girls sign contracts to let you tie them up, beat them, and f@ck them. She better not have been one of those." Gray's voice lowered to match Thatcher's as he leaned farther over the table, their foreheads almost touching...."Olivia never signed a contract with me.”

I already settled my inner debate about Dom/Sub relationships when I was scarred by the book Fifty Shades of Grey and itwas a NOPE for me trope

description

“Masochism won out, and she dug her fingers into his upper arm. "I need a scene."
"Need one? Or want one?" Each whispered word brushed her lips, but he never closed the distance.
"Both.”

I could never understand why people needed to endure or inflict pain so as to feel but people gotta do what people gotta to live as long as everything is consensual.

I've Got You is not your typical love story. It's about pain, hurt, depression, episodes, an unluckily shattered heart and a journey to put it back together.

“I know what Luna wants. Sex, and she always has. Liv wants intimacy, and a closeness you're proving she’s not ready for.”

Olivia and Thatcher were two messed up characters. Two traumatized souls dealing with their demons each in their own way. Their journey towards happiness wasn't at all rainbows and sunshines. It was a ferocious fight laced with love and support.

“Liv?” Silence answered him, though she shifted closer, nuzzled deeper into his chest. Gave him permission to continue. “There’s no almost about loving you.”

Review: Collided

Collided Collided by Anna Ray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

⭐️3,5 Luca & Chiara stars⭐️

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you BOOKSIRENS and thank you author Anna Ray.

I do enjoy a marriage of convenience story immensely. In fact I could read the same plot again and again and would sigh happily every time I finish one.

So when I found this book while browsing the BOOKSIRENS site , I was excited.

Collided was an okay read for me. I loved the unpredictability of the plot and the way the author presented Chiara as a driven princess with such a strong personality .

But to be honest , this story could have been way better had the author gave Luca a real Mafioso personality.

When I'm reading about an arranged marriage to a mafia lord who is out for revenge, I expect a ferocious guy that would send tingles to my heart. Luca was presented in a sweet way that made it impossible for me to think of him as a member of a crime family.
