My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I don't even know how to describe 2020 because it was quite a year.

Shitty, sucking, horrible not even a little. I hated this year not only because she robbed me from the most stable thing in my life which us reading but because I lost some close to my heart people.

So zero stars to the year but 5 stars to some books that made the anxiety, the pain and the fear of the unknown a little bit bearable.

Leo Leo by Jay McLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars!

An absolute amazing read!

“You have no idea how much it hurts to want you as much as I do.”I close my eyes and breathe, allow myself this moment. Even if it’s all a lie. I let him hold me under twinkling lights, on the first and only date we’ll ever have. Because as much as it may hurt him to want me, it hurts me more that I can’t want him back. That I can’t love him the way my heart does.”

description

descriptionSometimes the clouds aren’t enough, I guess. We need the whole damn storm.”

I don't even know how to proceed without spoiling the story but if age gaps is a no go for you, believe me, it's going to be the least of your worries.

descriptionI want you to know that no matter where you go,” he tells me between kisses, “you’ll always be ours. We’re your home.”

description

descriptionTiernan is a pulse in the house. She’s the pulse.”

This book is the definition of everything forbidden. Nothing and no one is off-limits. Six months, one girl, three alpha males and a lot to learn.

descriptionLust, learn, and love,” ...“My mother said the first boy—or man—is a crush. You think you love them, but what you really love is how they make you feel. It’s not love. It’s lust. Lust for attention. Lust for danger. Lust to feel special.” “The second is to learn about yourself.”“And number three?” I ask, “Love.” She snatches the bottle away. “When the lessons of your weakness with number one and your selfishness with number two sink in, and you find a medium. When you know who you are and you’re ready to welcome everything he is, and you’re not afraid anymore.”

Release Release by Aly Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 stars!

“I can’t do this without you.” “Do what?” He lifted one shoulder in a half shrug. “Breathe.”

Aly Martinez is hands down one of the best authors who write angsty stories in an amazing unforgettable way.

The story of Thea and Ramsey wasn't a simple friends to lovers one, it was a second chance at life, at love, at healing and at the beauty of sacrifice.

“There was never a day when I didn’t want you to be mine, Sparrow. I just loved you enough to hope you wouldn’t have to be.”

A journey of tears and heartbreak laced with all the feels.

“Sometimes you have to let go of the life you planned in order to live the one you’re given. Things are going to be different, Ramsey. But different doesn’t have to be bad.”
