Brighton

“I'd love a good break. Something to snap me in two. Something that floods my veins with so much emotion, I become physically ill. I'd love to step out of this protective bubble where I never have to worry about a thing, never have to want. Never have to need or worry or fear or miss out on any of life's grand opportunities. That's not real life. I want heartbreak.

Madden

“Someone told me once that the way a heart breaks depends on how hard it was dropped. Some breaks are clean—and some shatter, sending millions of shards everywhere, shards so small you can’t see them ……but you always feel them. My god, do you feel them.”

A pampered very sheltered princess and the brooding tattoo artist should never come in the same sentence, add some demons and sins from the past and everything is doomed, yet Madden and Brighton with a chemistery to light a block succeeded to kindle the flame and defy the norms but on one condition...

“Don’t fall in love with me.”...“I’m not kidding, Brighton. I need you to promise that if you start feeling something toward me, we’ll end this. Immediately. No questions asked.” “I promise,” I say. “And for the record, I’ve kept every promise I’ve ever made.”

From the moment I read Absinthe ,which by the way was my very first book to Winter Rainshaw, I fell in love with her books and here I am witnessing another strong male falling to his knees a d breaking his own rule..

“You so like me, Ransom,” she says as I carry her back to my GTO. “It’s okay if you can’t admit it yet.” Yet. Even if I did like her, I’d never admit it to anyone. Not her. Not even myself.”

Review: Absolution

Absolution Absolution by Keri Lake
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Pecheresse stars!<

descriptionC’mon, pΓ©cheresse, let me hear you scream.” Head kicked to the side, her moans heighten, become intense, bouncing off the walls with every slam of my dick. “Oh, God!”“There is no God here, Ivy. Only me.”“Damon! Please, Damon!”

I don't know where to begin or what to say about this book other that it was hands down the best I read to Keri Lake so far.

description

descriptionOh, my God,” she says and giggles again. “First time in my life I’ve come during sex. And it’s with a priest.”

Wrapped up in sin and temptation Absolution is a book that would test all your hard limits and check all your forbidden boxes. The priest, the temptress and a tirnado of emotions and heat to light a fire.

descriptionFuck!” In a brief moment of mercy, she releases me on a pop of suction. “Yes, I agree. We definitely need to fuck again.” Her laugh brings a smile to my face, and I curl my fingers into her hair and tighten my fist. “You’re making this worse.”“Bad is good, though. Isn’t it, Father?”

I always thought that it was unfair to deprive priests of one of God's best gifts to humans. Sex is good..

Well no, sex is great and nobody priest or not should suffer abstinence in the name of a religion or a belief.

descriptionI mean, it’s not fair to you. Going all those years without sex. How can the church expect that? It’s a natural thing for humans. A beautiful thing.”

description

descriptionI wish I didn’t need sex to feel the same level of satisfaction I did last night. I wish I didn’t crave the scent of a woman and nails digging into my flesh—basic human appetites that a man of my position has no business indulging.

Review: 99 Percent Mine

99 Percent Mine 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4,5 Valeska ⭐⭐⭐⭐

descriptionI thought that having just one percent of Tom Valeska’s heart feels like hitting the jackpot, but I think I was wrong. It’s now not enough. I’m going to make him two percent mine.

Ah-mazing!!! Loved, loved, freaking loved this book!

description

descriptionEverything. If you were mine, I’d do everything.”

description

After The Hating Game, believe me, no amount of words would describe how much I waited for this book to come and let me tell you 99% Mine was different but all the way enjoyable. The style, the characters and the story building were simply outstanding but if I am to compare Tom and Darcy, he would take all the stars and swoons meant for this book.

description

descriptionTell me I smell right.” He senses the uncertainty underlying my sharp order. “You smell like the only person.”

The Hating Game will always be one of my favourite books because Joshua is just irreplaceable but 99% Mine will definitely have a soft spot in my heart especially after I gave it a second shot.

Can't wait for more....

Review: Down We'll Come, Baby

Down We'll Come, Baby Down We'll Come, Baby by Carrie Aarons
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4,5 crying_buckets stars!

“I always think about white roses at a funeral. White roses mean someone has died,” Imogen murmurs to herself. Her green eyes look up into mine, and I want to erase every disaster that has happened to us. But I can’t. So I reply with the only truth I know. “Haven’t we?”

Down We'll Come Baby is my first ride on the Carrie Aarons train of emotion and God, this story was so painfully heartbreaking.

I had three miscarriages and two failed IVF attempts, I dealt with the needles and pills, I endured the wait, the hurt and the loss. So, yeah I know how a real heartbreak feels.

“I will never be the person I was before that day; the loss of our baby changed my makeup. That kind of loss, the kind that rearranges your brain cells and guts half your organs … a person cuts out a part of themselves to recover from that kind of tragedy.”

As much as angsty this book was, and as much as I sometimes hated the way Imogen treated Theo I couldn't but love their story and feel my heart breaks all over again. Theo and Imogen journey was tough and heartbreaking but sometimes God sends you miracles and signs to tell to never give up.

5 Not Your Princess stars!

Give an enemies to lovers/office romance story and you can grab me from the ovaries πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ™‹‍♀️

The Consequence of Falling was an insanely good and enjoyable story. I freaking loved the banter and the chemistry between Nathaniel and Presley. The story was so awesome that I couldn't put my kindle down until the last page.

So, yeah! I would definitely recommend this book to people who love their alphas insanely handsome, assholish and know what they do πŸ˜‰

Review: The Kiss Thief

The Kiss Thief The Kiss Thief by L.J. Shen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All the stars!

All of them!

All. Of. Them!

description

“No love is fully requited. No love is equal. No love is fair. There is always one side that loves more. And you better not be that side—because it suffers.”

I was waiting for #TheKissThief my whole life. I can't describe the things I felt while reading this book and I swear I couldn't for the life of me return the book to KU so I ended up buying it. The Kiss Thief is an absolute fascinating and captivating story. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
