Big Rock by Lauren Blakely
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
5 BIG stars!
After reading her latest book Mister O, I decided to read all Lauren's works because they are really really good.
So I started with Big Rock and it was another successful piece of art.
It's a mind blowing, hot, sexy and sweet friends to lovers story.
Spencer and Charlotte are besties since forever. When they left college, they started their own business and made of the Lucky Spot a very successful bar.
When Spencer's father wanted to sell his jewelry store, he asked him to zip his pants up and act like the good guy he raised as the buyer was old-fashioned and didn't approve of Spencer's playboy life style.
So....
He would fake and engagement with his best friend Charlotte.
Of course everything is going to be alright.
As if they would ever fall in love with each other.
Nah,
No way,
Not in a million years.
They are best friends.
They are business partners.
They are safe.
It's a game they'd played so many times and they were good at.
But......
She shouldn't have kissed him in Central Park....
Because kissing/ best friends/ business partners don't come toghether in the same page.
Because one kiss would never be enough.
And because
After kissing her and tasting her cherry lips, he would want it all.
Before they bought the engagement ring they made unbreakable rules but rules were made to be broken.
"Something is happening. Something strange and completely foreign. My heart is speaking a language I don't understand as it tries to fling itself to Charlotte."
This book is the one that would warm your heart, make you smile, giggle and laught out loud. It's an enjoyable journey toward a love story blossoming from a perfect friendship.
