Review: I Knew You Were Trouble

I Knew You Were Trouble I Knew You Were Trouble by Lauren Layne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Ballantine stars!

“Nick Ballantine, are you an ass man?”“When it comes to you, I’m an everything man.”

I was recovering from the Walk of Shame coma and then BooM... I Knew You Were Trouble happened.

I knew that the ballantine story was going to be a success because Nick stole the show Someone like You and was unable to not notice but I never thought it would be this good, this hot and this amazingly enjoyable.

Sweet readers....

Cause I Knew You Were Trouble is not a simple office romance, or a hot friends to lovers story or even hate to love kind of relationship, It's a combination of all the previous ingredients but with a Lauren Layne magic touch.

“Is that disappointment I hear, Ms. Carr?” he asked, rubbing his palm idly along the dark stubble on his jawline. “Is that ego I hear, Mr. Ballantine?”

The result...

Review: Stay

Stay Stay by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Delfie stars!

“I want him all the time. I wish I could carry him around in my pocket and take him out whenever I’m lusting for him.”

description

This was a spectacular book! I am in awe of these two authors fabulous abilities at blowing their readers' minds with such beautiful storylines.

Stay is my second book co-written by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy . I've read Good Boy and it was a real blast.

And while Blakey stole our hearts with his ridiculous nicknames and funny personality, Matty-cake aka Matt Eriksson left us sluttyflattering in love with him and with his Delfie.

From the first page of Stay, I knew that this was going to be an unforgettable story not because I was waiting for it like for ages but because I so much wanted for this man to have the happily ever after he deserves especially with the pain and heart-ache his ex-wife caused.

After the divorce, Matt had to find another apartment and use the services of "Fetch" to help him with furniture and run different errands for him from walking his dog to buying his boxers.

Texting the mysterious co-owner HTE that he translated into Hottie soon turned into curiosity to see the real her, especially that he saw a glimpse of her while she volunteered to walk his dog Rufus.

Neither Matt nor Hailey were ready for a second chance with love. They both've been there got burned and gad enough but that's love... It alwags co es when you lsast expect it.

The writing was flawless and incredibly skilful. I couldn't pull myself away from this story or put the book down..(totally worth the luck of sleep).

Review: Tycoon

Tycoon Tycoon by Katy Evans
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

description

“You’re a small little thing. Much more trouble than you look.”
“I’m not trouble.”
“The places you take a guy’s thoughts…pure trouble, bit.”

HOLY MOLY! This book wasn't a normal love story, this was a freaking HOT volcano!
I'm pretty sure my ovaries were close to having an explosion.

description

The sexual tension between Bryn and Christos was crazy thick and insanely EXLPOSIVE that would leave you dear reader so hot and bothered.

description

“What are you afraid of?”
“You. Everything blowing up in my face.”
“That’s not happening. But I want you blowing up in my face. Would you let me taste you, Bryn? Huh? If we went for it, would you let me finally taste you?”
“Christos.”
“I’ve never met a woman whose scent made me want to devour her like yours does. You confuse me, Bryn. You make me want to protect you and at the same time you make me want to break you. I want you to stop thinking and just fucking feel me. Feel this.”

Tycoon was one hell of a waited on ride. Christos's arrogance yet soft spot took the story to a steamy yet so beautiful level with how much feelings he reserved to his Little Bit.

Review: Hard Stick

Hard Stick Hard Stick by L.P. Dover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3,5 stars!

ARC kindly provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book to author L. P. Dover and I must admit that it wasn't what I expected at all.

I am a cover bitch. Unless the author is already known to me, most of my bought, requested or borrowed books are based on the cover or the blurb, the reason why Hard Stick sat on my kindle the moment I saw it on Netgalley.

When I'm picking sports romance novel to read then I'm expecting to find some sport. The rush of adrenaline, the thrill of success and the aggressiveness of the players on the field and in the locker rooms that's what I most love about a sports romance.

When I read about Kellan, his hard stick and how he knows how to use it, I was sold

description

but when I started reading the book I realised that the story was more about Kristen and her secrets than about Kellan, his stick or Ice hockey.

description

I can't say that this story wasn't enjoyable, it really was. Let's just say that the story and the cover don't go together.

Kristen used to have it all, a successful job, a wealthy gorgeous boyfriend and a place that she could finally call home, but everything would be destroyed the moment she realised that she was dealing with a sick married boyfriend who would stop at nothing to have her even killing the friend who tried to save her.

Changing her name and starting from scratch was the only way to keep Kristen safe from being killed, and though bartending had nothing to do with designing, it at least paid her bills.

Kellan lived for hockey, women in his life were no longer a priority until he was challenged to ask the mysterious waitress for a date.

“Dallas nudged me in the side, his voice low so Kristen couldn’t hear him. “Wanna make a bet?” he asked slyly. “On what?”
“On your girl over there. I say five hundred dollars you can’t get her to go out with you by the end of the week.” Braeden chuckled. “And I’ll bet three hundred.” They both grinned and held out their hands. Sealing the deal, I shook them. “You’re on, fuckers.”

Kellan wanted to teach his friends a good lesson but the moment he met Kristen out of the bar and got to know her, he realised that one date would never be enough especially that he knew her secrets and her fears.

Hard Stick is a book about new beginnings and how love could heal damaged wounds.

Review: Royally Raised

Royally Raised Royally Raised by Emma Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 more of Henry & Sarah stars!

Emma Chase never fails to steal her readers hearts and take their breath away with her amazing and beautifully written stories.

“You are every bit as beautiful as the day I first saw you in that pub.” He chuckles. “When you stuck your book in my face and told me to smell it.”

I laugh, pressing my forehead to his chest. “You make it sound dirty.
I feel his lips on the top of my head. “I like to think it was dirty. The best kind of foreplay. It certainly reeled me in.”

The good is yet to come...

Review: Ruckus

Ruckus Ruckus by L.J. Shen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 fudging stars!

“I'm about to rewrite the pages of our fucking history, baby.”

Have you already added this book to your TBG shelf?

If yes..

description

You're so lucky to meet Dean Cole.

If no..

description

You're fudging missing a lot.

When I read Vicious, I knew that L.J. Shen's collection had to land on my kindle and let me tell you dear friends they were all worth it... because L. J. Shen doesn't write enjoyable stories, she write unforgettable ones.

And that's how my love story with this author began.

description

I must admit that at first I didn't like the idea of Dean and Rosie since he already dipped his sauage in her family gravy, but it took me about 10% of reading to know that they would rock as a couple.

“Contrary to general belief, stars don’t twinkle. There is only one star that sparkles that scientists can agree on. It twinkles so bright, sometimes people mistake it for a UFO. It’s not big, but it stands out. That’s Sirius, and it’s also you. You shine, Baby LeBlanc. So fucking bright sometimes you’re the only thing I see.”

When Dean Cole first laid eyes on little pixie Rosie LeBlanc in front of her door, he knew that she was his, but because life was an angry bitch, Dean had to take Rosie's big sister Millie as his girlfriend instead.

“I took Millie when I should have taken Rosie.
I took Millie, and I was going to kill Vicious.”

Despite the pain and heart ache Rosie felt giving up Dean, she was willing to put her happiness aside and keep her sister safe especially from Vicious.

Eleven years later with Millie happily married to his best friend and business partner Baron Spencer aka Vicious, Dean was longer going to pass the opportunity to claim what's been always his, Baby LeBlanc.

description

Dean Cole wasn't going to stop at anything until baby Le Blanc understood what she was dealing with.

“She had no clue, this girl. No. Fucking. Clue. Who she was dealing with. I might’ve been nicer than Vicious, but I was still a HotHole. I was still a sinner…”

“When I wanted something, I took it. And I fucking wanted her. A lot.”

That wasn't a book. That was a tornado of emotions and feelings. I laughed, I cried, and I fell in love with the story. Vicious get in the line Ruckus is twinkling and it's f**cking killing at it.

“I’m going to make you sing my fucking name,” he hissed, his eyes hard on mine, “with your pussy.”
